Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a Resident Aide in Herkimer, NY to assist nursing staff with non-technical tasks and patient care support. You will help with transports, feeding, and daily activities, under supervision of licensed staff, while maintaining HIPAA and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork and compassionate interactions with residents. Applicable candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and a willingness to complete in-service training and feeding

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Ability to follow directions and work under supervision.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in resident transports throughout the facility and to medical appointments.
• Assist in passing fluids and nourishment after appropriate in-servicing.
• Support nursing staff with bed-making, linens, and bedside items as assigned.
• Attend feeding assistant course as scheduled to assist feeding residents.
• Follow departmental policies and wear PPE as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care and employee information.
