Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking candidates for the Resident Aide-Nurse Aide Trainee role to complete classroom training and clinical studies in order to pass the NYS Nurse Aide Training test and become a Certified Nurse Aide.

You will work as part of the Nursing Home team, assisting in care, documenting assessments, and supporting care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance and resident dignity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Minimum 1 year previous long‑term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Home and the Nursing Department as a team member.
• Provide care to residents under supervision of NATP Coordinator/Clinical Supervisor.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information.
• Document on the Daily Care Assessment and weight/vital signs sheets.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to the charge nurse.
