Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network in Herkimer, NY is seeking a Resident Aide‑Nurse Aide Trainee to complete classroom training and clinical studies to pass the NYS Nurse Aide Training test and become a Certified Nurse Aide. This role supports nursing care in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Minimum 1 year previous long term care experience

Responsibilities

• Support the philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Home and the Nursing Department in performance of care as a member of the team.
• Provides care to residents assigned solely under the supervision of the NATP Coordinator/Clinical Supervisor, who will oversee the NA Trainee skills and evaluate his/her performance.
• Assist in maintenance of care standards.
• Follow established Infection Control procedures and HIPAA/HIV regulations.
• Document on the Daily Care Assessment and report information to the LPN when applicable.
