Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network in Herkimer, NY, is seeking a Resident Aide-Nurse Aide Trainee to successfully complete classroom training as well as clinical studies in order to pass the NYS Nurse Aide Training test to become a Certified Nurse Aide.

You will support the philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Home, provide care to residents, assist in maintaining care standards, document assessments, and participate in in-service programs and staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Education/Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year previous long term care experience.
• Skills: Accountability, Communication, Multi-Tasking, Patience, Responsibility, Time Management.

Responsibilities

• Support the philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Home and Nursing Department.
• Provide care to residents assigned under supervision.
• Assist in maintenance of environment conducive to providing quality care.
• Participate in in-service programs, resident care conferences and staff meetings.
