Job summary

The Resident Assistant/PCA provides quality care, assists residents with daily activities, and participates in social and activity programs to enhance well-being.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of an approved PCA program, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents.
• Report incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals (ex: HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain cleanliness of resident areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning activity programs for residents and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist residents with move-in transitions and provide emotional support.
