Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC in Mansfield, OH is seeking a compassionate Resident Care Attendant to assist residents with daily living activities, housekeeping, meals, and social-recreational engagement, while supporting dignity and independence.

You will work under the Health Services Director and follow care plans, perform ADL support, ensure safety, infection control, and report changes promptly. Requires 18–24 months experience, CPR/First Aid preferred, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Interacts in professional manner with Residents, public and co-workers; cooperates with management.
• Clear English speaking and writing ability; able to communicate effectively.
• Ability to spend long periods on feet and to ambulate quickly.
• Ability to work safely and to recognize potentially dangerous situations.
• Ability/willingness to follow all policies and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; 35 pounds regularly.
• Routinely requires pushing, pulling, bending, walking, reaching, and stooping.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Residents.
• Receives and gives report from the previous shift.
• Reviews assignments with Designated Supervisor.
• Reads staff communication records and maintains familiarity with Resident records.
• Assists with orientation of new staff to job responsibilities.
• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living and mobility assistance while encouraging self-care.
• Sets up, serves meals, and cleans up afterwards.
• Provides services per Resident service plans (bathing, toileting, transfer).
• Follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
• Notifies nurse or designated agents of status changes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
