Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC in Dubuque, IA is seeking a dedicated Resident Services Aide to provide personal care, meals, housekeeping, laundry, and social activities, while maintaining dignity and privacy for Residents.

You will assist with ADLs, observe changes in status, and report to the Health Services Director. CPR/First Aid certification preferred; the role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Must provide compassionate resident care
• Assist with ADLs and daily activities
• Maintain dignity, privacy, and independence for Residents
• Clear English communication with Residents and staff
• Ability to follow care plans and policies

Responsibilities

• Adhere to philosophy of dignity, privacy, independence and home-like environment
• Receive and give reports from/to the previous shift
• Review assignments with supervisor
• Maintain familiarity with Resident records and documentation
• Assist with orientation of new staff
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility
• Set up and assist with meals and cleanup
• Provide services per Resident service plans (bathing, toileting, transfer, mobility)
• Follow infection control procedures
• Keep environment clean, safe, and comfortable
• Observe issues in Resident units/building and report them
• Note changes in Resident status and communicate needs
• Observe safety and administrative rules
• Record Resident information as required
• Know and follow fire, life safety, disaster, security procedures
• Assist with individual and group social activities
• Notify nurse or designee of changes in status
• Perform other duties as assigned
