Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Bridgeport, WV is seeking a Resident Assistant/PCA to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, CPR/First Aid certification, and a flexible schedule including weekends. You will support residents with daily tasks, respond to emergencies, and participate in activity planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of staff.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform lifts safely.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and care concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to calls for assistance.
• Support planning and conducting resident activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Coordinate move-in transitions and provide emotional support.
• Communicate status and updates to the nursing team.
• Follow policies and procedures and attend required in-services.
