Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC seeks a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality care and assistance with daily living activities for residents in Morgantown, West Virginia. Duties include responding to calls, helping with daily tasks, and supporting activity programs.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, complete a state-approved PCA program, and be able to communicate effectively in writing and speech.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have successfully completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Reports incidents involving residents to include care concerns or issues, to appropriate individuals (ex: HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Assists residents with activities of daily living
• Perform housekeeping duties, such as making resident beds and cleaning areas as directed by supervisor
• Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents
• Communicate verbally and in writing to report resident status, upcoming information, and transfers
• Assists new residents with move-in transition and emotional support
• Other duties as assigned
