Job summary

Harmony is seeking a Personal Care Aide to support residents with daily living activities, safety, and well‑being in a community setting.

You will work closely with nursing staff, provide emotional support during move‑in transitions, and help maintain cleanliness and order in common areas and resident rooms. A strong focus on safety, confidentiality, and compassionate care is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed an approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Must communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of staff.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Report incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals (e.g., HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties and clean resident areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls or emergencies.
• Assist in planning activity programs for residents.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining and activities.
• Monitor resident attendance at meals and activities.
• Communicate resident status and appointments in writing.
