Job summary

iCare Health Network is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to manage resident billing with accuracy and confidentiality. The role supports the Business Office and requires knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and accounts receivable functions.

The ideal candidate will handle ledgers, assist with office tasks, and ensure timely billing and reconciliations, while communicating effectively in a multi-cultural setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and accounts receivable functions.
• Working knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across disciplines in a multicultural environment.
• Must be organized, energetic and motivated.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to speak and write English.

Responsibilities

• Knows and complies with policies and procedures related to accounts receivable bookkeeping.
• Maintains, updates, and monitors computer ledgers.
• Assist Bookkeeping Office Manager with various office functions.
• Assist with compilation and updating of ancillary information by payor types, dates and services.
• Bills all third party carriers and follows up on payments.
• Reconciles accounts and prepares adjustments.
• Processes ancillary census and bills according to Medicare PPS guidelines.
• Monitors and follows up on problems with Medicaid.
• Monitors and reconciles resident banking accounts.
