Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Bookkeeper with Medicaid experience to support nursing center billing across the Eastern Panhandle pod. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

You will process accounts receivable, assist with census and month‑end activities, and coordinate patient/resident charges. You’ll collaborate with the Nursing Home Administrator, business office staff, and the Centralized Billing Office to ensure accurate billing

Qualifications

• Must have Medicaid experience.
• Experience coordinating with nursing center administration and billing offices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Support nursing center business goals as a Bookkeeper.
• Collaborate with the Nursing Home Administrator, business office staff, and Centralized Billing Office.
• Assist with census, billing, month end activities, collections, refunds, and patient/resident trust fund transactions.
• Complete Medical Assistance application tasks.
• Coordinate patient/resident ancillary charges and enter into billing system.
• Review patient/resident admission files for accuracy.
