Job description

Join to apply for the Resident Automation Technician II (M/F/D)* role at TGW Logistics.

The Resident Automation Technician II supports our customer on all automation-related topics. This position requires a broad-based electrical and mechanical skillset and a proactive approach to improve the site’s performance through troubleshooting and hands-on repair. Based at our customer sites, the Resident Automation Technician II must represent the TGW image and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.

What you’ll be handling
  1. Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible.
  2. Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned.
  3. Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment onsite, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems.
  4. Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
  5. Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations.
  6. Monitor and maintain the site spare parts inventory, as applicable.
What you’ll need
  1. High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
  2. Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousing/distribution, or related environments.
  3. Familiarity with Human Machine Interface (HMI) and/or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) experience.
  4. Ability to interpret engineering drawings for use in diagnostics.
  5. Thorough attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
