Job summary

Union Gospel Mission seeks a Resident Assistant to supervise client services and house operations at the Spokane Men’s Shelter. You will support volunteers, manage intake and records, and help maintain a safe, healing environment aligned with the mission’s faith-based principles.

The role emphasizes servant leadership, strong communication, and adherence to Core Values. Schedule includes swing and graveyard shifts with responsibilities across program areas.

Qualifications

• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to participate in ministry activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise client services and house operations in the shelter.
• Train and supervise volunteers and desk staff.
• Maintain client records, shift logs, and reporting.
• Monitor safety, conduct security checks, and enforce policies.
• Coordinate with staff and volunteers and support meal and chapel routines.
