Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Resident Assistant in Maplewood. You will provide hands-on care, both physical and emotional, in accordance with each resident's service agreement. The role involves assisting in dining and activities while maintaining communication with families and the case manager.

The position requires compassion, the ability to work with residents to maximize independence, and adherence to care plans. Shift options include 10p-6a with a pay range of $17–$23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide or CNA registration preferred.
• Ability to act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe clients and report changes in condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, and communication book.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands-on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident's service agreement. Rresponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assists in the dining room and participating in activities and outings.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilitie s:

• Assist residents with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to the case manager.
• Interactwith residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Qualifications:

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interests.
