Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Resident Assistant for every other weekend shift, 10pm-6am, in Maplewood, MN. This role supports residents with daily care and compassionate companionship.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor wellbeing, document changes, and communicate with the care team and families as needed. The position includes shift differentials and a 401(k) match, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident's service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .
