Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Resident Assistant in Maplewood, MN to work 32 hours per week with weekend 6a-2p shifts. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $23.00 per hour, plus shift differentials and 401(k) retirement options.

The position supports residents with daily living activities and participates in dining and activities. The ideal candidate has six months in long-term care or assisted living, and certification as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, or CNA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or CNA (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices in resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in the service agreement.
• Help residents reach and maintain highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the service agreement.
• Observe residents and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilitie s :

• Assistresidents with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) asindicatedon the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach andmaintainthe highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
