Job summary

Vivie is hiring a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on support to residents in the community. You will assist with daily activities, ensure safety and comfort, and foster meaningful connections to help residents live with dignity, joy, and companionship.

The role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and compassionate care. CNA certification (MN/WI) is preferred and may be required for some levels; background checks and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or personal care assistance is preferred but not required.
• Strong collaboration and compassionate communication are essential.
• Must be able to pass a state background check and read/write/speak English well.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks to promote a positive dining experience.
• Monitor changes in residents' health or mood and report to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly to their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and care quality.

Job description

Schedule: Full Time | 64 hours/pay period | 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. | Includes every other weekend and holiday

Pay Range: $19 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well‑being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state‑required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
