Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Resident Assistant for a part-time evening schedule (2:00pm - 10:30pm) in Northfield, MN. This role includes every other weekend and holiday requirements, with a pay range of $19-$23 per hour.

You will provide hands-on support to residents, helping with daily activities and fostering meaningful connections. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, meals, mobility, and wellness activities, while reporting changes to nursing staff.

• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Maintain clean, comfortable living spaces through housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals and snacks.
• Monitor health changes and report to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and assist with transition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well‑being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state‑required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
