Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on support to residents, assisting with daily activities and fostering a safe, dignified living environment. The role emphasizes compassion, clear communication, and teamwork within the nursing department.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, meals, mobility, housekeeping, and reporting changes to nursing staff. The position is full-time, non-exempt, on-site in Minnesota, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Caregiving or similar experience preferred.
• Must pass a state background check.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
• CNA certification preferred or required at some levels.

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational and wellness activities.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepare, store and serve meals while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor changes in residents' health or mood and report to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition into their new home.
• Perform other duties to support the team and ensure quality care.

Schedule: Full Time |64 hours per pay period| 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. | Every other weekend and holiday

Pay Range: $19 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
