Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on support to residents, assisting with daily activities and promoting a safe, dignified living environment.

You will help with bathing, grooming, meals, mobility, and social activities, while reporting changes to nursing staff and maintaining a clean, welcoming home for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment through housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report changes in health or well‑being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition into their new home.
• Perform other duties to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

Job description

Schedule: Full Time | 64 hours/pay period | 2:30 p.m. to 11p.m. and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. | Incudes every other weekend and holiday

Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• A commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.
• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
