Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on support to residents, helping with daily activities and fostering meaningful connections. You will assist with bathing, grooming, meals, and mobility while promoting dignity and comfort.

You will work full time in a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, every fourth weekend, and holiday rotations, with competitive pay and generous benefits. Training and development opportunities accompany growth within the nursing team.

Qualifications

• CNA certification in MN or WI preferred or required for some levels.
• Prior caregiving experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass background check.
• English proficiency sufficient for staff, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care and life skills.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational and wellness activities.
• Maintain a clean environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages and snacks.
• Monitor and report changes in health or emotional well‑being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition into their new home.
• Perform other duties to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

Schedule:

Full Time | 80 hours/pay period | 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Includes every 4th weekend and holiday rotation

Pay Range:

$18.50 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• A commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.
• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
