Job summary

Vivie is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide hands-on support to residents in our community. You’ll assist with daily activities, meals, mobility, and safety, while fostering dignity, joy, and companionship.

This role rewards teamwork and clear communication, with opportunities for growth. CNA certification from Minnesota or Wisconsin is preferred, and prior caregiving experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification is preferred and may be required for some levels.
• Previous caregiver or personal care assistant experience is preferred but not required.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well‑being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

Job description

Schedule: Part Time | 32 hours/pay period | Double Shift 6 a.m to 2 p.m. & 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. | Every other weekend holiday

Pay Range: $19 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.
