Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on support to residents in our Minnesota community. This full-time, overnight role runs 10:30pm–6:30am, with 64–80 hours per pay period, including holidays and alternating weekends.

You will assist with daily activities, meals, mobility, and safety, while monitoring health and reporting to nursing staff. We offer competitive pay ($19–$23/hr non-exempt), employer-matched retirement, health benefits, generous PTO and holidays, and

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills respecting preferences.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment through housekeeping and organization.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks.
• Monitor changes in health or emotional well-being and report to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and assist with transitioning to their new home.
• Perform other duties to support the team and ensure quality care.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
