Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Resident Assistant in Minnesota to provide hands-on support to residents, assisting with daily activities, meals, and companionship. The role involves helping residents stay safe, respected, and engaged in community life, with a focus on dignity and well-being.

The position is part-time, non-exempt, with a schedule of 16 hours per pay period (Week 1: Sun, Wed; Week 2: Tue, Fri) and every other weekend and holiday. Competitive pay up to $23.65/hr plus benefits.

Job description

Schedule: Part Time | 7 am to 3:15 pm | 16 hours per pay period |Week 1 (Sun, Wed), Week 2 (Tues, Fri) | Schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday requirement.

Pay Range: $19-$23.65 (non-exempt) based on location, qualifications, and experience.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
