Job summary

Vivie is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant in Minnesota to provide hands-on support to residents, helping with daily activities, meals, mobility, and safety. The role emphasizes compassionate care, dignity, and creating a welcoming home environment.

You’ll work 32 hours per pay period, Saturdays and Sundays, with holiday rotation. Benefits include retirement matching, health coverage, PTO, and opportunities for training and development.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting preferences.
• Encourage engagement in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

Job description

Schedule: Part Time | 32 hours/pay period | 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Saturday & Sunday | 3 out of 4 weekends per month & a higher holiday rotation

Pay Range: Premium wage of $28/hour while working scheduled weekends and holidays | Base wage of $18.50 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.

• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.


• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.


• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.


• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).


• Ability to pass a state-required background study.


• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.


• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
