Job summary

Vivie is hiring a Part-Time Resident Assistant in Minnesota to provide hands-on support to residents in daily activities, meals, and wellness. You will help residents live with dignity and joy, assist with mobility and personal care, and collaborate with the nursing team.

The role offers competitive hourly pay, employer-matched retirement, health benefits, and paid time off, with weekend and holiday shifts every other week. Prior caregiving experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Clear and compassionate communication abilities.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

Schedule: Part Time | 16 hours/pay period | 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Every other weekend and holiday

Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
