A healthcare provider in Maplewood is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care, including physical and emotional support, for residents. The ideal candidate will assist residents with daily living activities and be responsible for observing changes in their condition. Qualifications

Pay Range

• Hours – 6‑2am, 64 hours per pay period
• Pay Range – $17.00/yr to $23.00/yr
• Location – 1910 County Rd C E, Maplewood
• Shift Differentials

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands‑on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. The Resident Assistant must effectively communicate with residents, families, and notify the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assists in the dining room and participates in activities and outings.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL’s as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• Observe clients and report changes in physical and emotional condition (e.g., change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight) to the case manager
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate
• Complete all required documentation daily, including service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests
