Job summary

Morning Pointe Memory Care communities are dedicated to providing services that enhance the wellness, lifestyle and enjoyment of senior living. We are seeking a RESIDENT ASSISTANT/CNA for Memory Care on 2nd shift to support daily living activities for residents with Alzheimer's and related conditions.

Ideal candidates have a can-do attitude, enjoy caring for others, and can read, write, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Requires compassionate care approach and patience.
• Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to meet residents' physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs with respect and dignity.
• May include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, perineal care, laundry, bed making, and other duties of care.
• Assist residents with meals and snacks; help with setup, service and feeding as necessary.
• Light housekeeping duties as necessary.

Resident Assistants/CNAs are expected to accomplish tasks outside of their normal assignments whenever necessary to maintain a quality care environment for our residents. As part of a team-oriented workplace, Resident Assistants participate in training opportunities and offer help to other areas and staff in need. The typical work of a Resident Assistant can include:

1. Providing assistance with activities of daily living to meet the resident's physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs with respect and dignity
2. This may include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, perineal care, laundry, bed making, and other duties of care
3. Assist residents with meals and snacks
4. Assist with setup, service and feeding if necessary
5. Housekeeping duties as necessary
