Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic math and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• At least 18 years of age and able to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living to meet residents' physical, emotional, and social needs with respect and dignity.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, perineal care, laundry, bed making and other care duties.
• Assist residents with meals and snacks and with setup and feeding as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties as necessary to maintain a clean resident environment.

   Resident Assistants/CNAs are expected to accomplish tasks outside of their normal assignments whenever necessary to maintain a quality care environment for our residents. As part of a team-oriented workplace, Resident Assistants participate in training opportunities and offer help to other areas and staff in need. The typical work of a Resident Assistant can include:

   1. Providing assistance with activities of daily living to meet the resident's physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs with respect and dignity
   2. This may include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, perineal care, laundry, bed making, and other duties of care
   3. Assist residents with meals and snacks
   4. Assist with setup, service and feeding if necessary
   5. Housekeeping duties as necessary
