Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in State College, PA seeks a compassionate Personal Care Aide to assist residents with daily living, meals, hygiene, and mobility, while maintaining dignity and privacy.

You\'ll work with a nursing team, respond to calls, and support activity programs, with flexible scheduling including weekends. Requires HS diploma or GED and PCA program, plus CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Contribute to nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Reports incidents involving residents to include care concerns to appropriate individuals.
• Maintains working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Performs housekeeping duties and cleans resident apartments, common areas, dining room, etc.
• Responds promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
