Great Lakes Management is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant in West Saint Paul to provide hands-on care and support in alignment with each resident's service agreement. You will assist in dining, accompany residents on activities, and communicate with families while coordinating with the case manager regarding any changes in condition.

The role includes shifts from AM 6am-2:30pm or NOC 10:30pm-7:00am. Compensation ranges from $19 to $23 per hour, with benefits including shift differentials

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or CNA (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in the service agreement
• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of independence
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the RN per service agreement
• Observe residents and report changes to the case manager
• Engage with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection
• Complete required documentation daily, including service schedule and flow sheets

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands-on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident's service agreement. Responsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assists in the dining room and participating in activities and outings.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement


• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.


• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.


• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement


• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to the case manager.


• Interactwith residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.


• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Qualifications:

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)


• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)


• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interests.
