Job summary

The Sanctuary of West St Paul, part of Ebenezer's senior living communities, is seeking a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide to provide personal care and support for residents in assisted living and memory care.

No CNA required unless under 18; on-the-job training to pass medications is provided. Weekend, part-time shifts with 56 hours biweekly and alternate weekends offer flexible scheduling for students.

Qualifications

• CNA certificate (MN NAR registry) required if under 18.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers with compassion.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• On-the-job training to pass medications is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting and transfers.
• Under Nurse direction, pass medications and monitor vitals such as glucose, temperature, and blood pressure.
• Help with laundry, meal service, and activities; observe residents and report changes to staff.
• Assist with onboarding of new staff.

One of Ebenezer’s newest managed properties and destined to be one of West St. Paul’s premier senior living communities, we offer both Assisted Living and Memory Care. We are conveniently located near Interstate 494 and Highway 52 and public transportation in West St. Paul, MN.

The Sanctuary of West St Paul is looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide whom would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain the senior age assisted living and memory care residents’ physical and emotional well-being in vibrant location in West Saint Paul, MN. NO CNA required, unless under 18 years old. Position is also provided on the job training to pass medications. This weekend caregiver support position includes;

Part-time caregiver weekend schedule, perfect for a student!

• 56 hours per two weeks
• Evening shift
• Every other weekend Saturday/Sunday

Responsibilities

Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.
Under direction of Nurse, provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.
May perform duties that include: laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.
Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
Assists with onboarding of new staff.

Required Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers while working in a team setting.
Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population.
CNA certificate (MN NAR registry) required, if under 18 years old

Preferred Qualifications

High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course.
