Ebenezer is seeking a Resident Assistant/Caregiver for its St. Cloud community. The role supports residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities within a warm senior living setting.

Shifts are casual with weekend and weekday coverage; no formal schedule is listed. RN guidance is available for health tasks, and the team emphasizes compassionate, respectful resident care and safety.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of caregiving experience.
• Ability to use technology (computers, handheld devices, cell phones, fax)
• If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares such as bathing, dressing, feeding.
• Provide health-related services under RN direction, including blood glucose monitoring.
• Administers medication or assists with this under RN direction (including insulin injections).
• Delivers meal trays and assists with meal service.
• Observes residents and reports changes in condition to staff.
• Responds to resident and building emergencies as needed.

Job Overview

The Sanctuary of St. Cloud is an affordable, friendly senior living community. We are located near Highway 10 and County 23 in St. Cloud, MN. Our beautiful community hosts 101 Assisted Living and 36 Memory Care apartments. Our residents enjoy worry-free living in a warm and friendly community with services to meet their individual needs.

This is a casual role! Help fill in for shifts ahead of time and for last minute needs. Variety of shifts available including weekends, week days etc.

Resident Assistant/Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:
• Bathing/showering
• Foot and fingernail care
• Shaving
• Dressing
• Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses
• Hair care
• Feeding
• Toileting
• Escorts
• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
• Provides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)
• Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Performs specified home services:
• Performs laundry service per schedule.
• Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked.
• Delivers meal trays.
• Assists with meal service in dining room.
• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.
• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offers pertinent observations and input.
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.
