Job summary

The Sanctuary of West St Paul is seeking a Server/Culinary Assistant to provide dining room meal service to senior residents and to maintain supplies in the kitchenettes for our Assisted Living Community in West St Paul, MN. The role includes a 56-hour biweekly schedule across day, evening and night shifts with every other weekend.

Responsibilities include serving meals, accommodating dietary needs, ensuring cleanliness, and learning the EMenu System to support restaurant-style service.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience required.
• Preferred: High School Diploma and 1 year experience.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Server/Culinary Assistant to join our team! This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our senior residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Assisted Living Community in West St Paul, MN. This nutrition services schedule includes;

• 56 hours per two weeks
• Day/Evening/Night schedule
• Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
