Job summary

TowerLight on Wooddale in St. Louis Park, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide to provide personal care to residents in independent living, memory care, and enhanced care suites. Training will enable medication pass; CNA MN NAR not required unless under 18.

Evening shifts 2:00pm–10:00pm, two weekends/holidays rotation, full benefits. Responsibilities include personal care, health-related support, daily living tasks, observation and reporting, and emergency response.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of caregiving-related experience.
• Ability to use technology (computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines).
• If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry and the site must manage restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Assistance (bathing, nails, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting).
• Assist with hearing aids and/or glasses; 1-2 person transfers with mechanical lifts.

Position: Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide

TowerLight on Wooddale is looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide who would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain the senior age assisted living/memory care residents’ physical and emotional well-being for our beautiful location in St Louis Park, MN. No CNA MN NAR required, unless under 18 years old.
Position is provided on the job training to be able to pass medications.

Caregiver Schedule

• 48 hours every two weeks ; part time


• Evening shift ; 2:00pm-10:00pm


• Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Assistance




• Bathing


• Foot and fingernail care


• Shaving


• Dressing


• Hair care


• Feeding


• Toileting


• Assistance with hearing aids and/or glasses


• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lifts




• Health-Related Support




• Assists with treatments as outlined in individualized care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (e.g., blood glucose monitoring).


• Administers or assists with medications, including insulin injections, as directed by a Registered Nurse.


• Takes and records vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.




• Daily Living Support




• May assist with household tasks including laundry, cleaning, meal service, and resident activities.




• Resident Observation & Reporting




• Monitors and reports changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition (e.g., mood, appetite, weight).


• Communicates observations to appropriate staff and contributes relevant input to care planning.


• Acts as a mandated reporter, promptly reporting any concerns related to potential mistreatment.




• Emergency Response




• Responds appropriately to resident needs and building emergencies, following established protocols.
