Job summary

Ebenezer is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide in Minneapolis, MN to support seniors in daily living activities and personal care. You will work evening shifts in a vibrant senior living community and contribute to a compassionate care team that values safety and dignity.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, medication assistance under RN supervision, vital signs checks, and helping residents with meals and activities.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience in caregiving or related role.
• Ability to use computers and handheld devices.
• If under 18, must be on the MN NA registry.

Job Overview

Opened in 2020, the Pillars of Prospect Park is conveniently located off the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. This senior living community features 133 Independent living, 106 assisted living, and 44 memory care apartments. Two buildings make up this vibrant community and also encompass an on-site Intergenerational Child Care Center. Managed by Ebenezer, Minnesota's largest senior living operator. We are looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide who would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain the senior assisted living residents’ physical and emotional well-being for our vibrant senior living in Minneapolis, MN.

Schedule

• 64 hours every two weeks ; Full Time


• Evening Shift ; 2:30pm - 11:00pm


• Block Schedule:
  
  
  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
  
  
  • Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday
  
  


• Shift differential pay available


• Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Assistance:

Supports Residents With Daily Living Activities, Including

• Bathing


• Foot and fingernail care


• Shaving


• Dressing


• Hair care


• Feeding


• Toileting


• Assistance with hearing aids and/or glasses


• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lifts

Health-Related Support

• Assists with treatments as outlined in individualized care plans under supervision of a Registered Nurse (e.g., blood glucose monitoring).


• Administers or assists with medications, including insulin injections, as directed by a Registered Nurse.


• Takes and records vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

Daily Living Support

• May assist with household tasks including laundry, cleaning, meal service, and resident activities.

Resident Observation & Reporting

• Monitors and reports changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition (e.g., mood, appetite, weight).


• Communicates observations to appropriate staff and contributes relevant input to care planning.


• Acts as a mandated reporter, promptly reporting any concerns related to potential mistreatment.

Emergency Response

• Responds appropriately to resident needs and building emergencies, following established protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines


• If under 18, must be on the MN NA registry
