Job summary

Ebenezer in Roseville, MN is seeking compassionate caregivers to support residents across independent, assisted living and memory care. This role includes personal care, medication assistance under RN supervision, and help with meals and activities in a warm, well-designed community near Minneapolis and St. Paul.

The schedule is 37 hours per two weeks with day shifts and alternating weekends. Ebenezer offers medical, dental and vision plans, life insurance, disability coverage, PTO and tuition

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of caregiving experience required.
• Ability to use technology (computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares: bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding.
• Support with medications under RN direction and monitor vital signs.
• Help with ambulation, transfers, and use of mechanical lifts.
• Assist with meal service and activities.

Job Overview

Amira Choice of Roseville on Cleveland is a beautiful, well-designed senior living community that offers the highest level of distinction for our residents. We offer 80 senior units with a mix of Independent/Assisted Living as well as Memory Care and Care Suites. Our community is adjacent to both Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN and is near public transportation making it a convenient location for our employees. This Schedule Includes

• 37 hours per two weeks
• day shift
• every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:
• Bathing/showering
• Foot and fingernail care
• Shaving
• Dressing
• Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses
• Hair care
• Feeding
• Toileting
• Escorts
• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
• Provides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)
• Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Performs specified home services:
• Performs laundry service per schedule.
• Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked.
• Delivers meal trays.
• Assists with meal service in dining room.
• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.
• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offers pertinent observations and input.
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.

• If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry and site must be able to manage restrictions that they are not able to pass medications or operate a mechanical lift independently.
