Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Nursing Assistant for Resurrection Village in Chicago, IL, within the Assisted Living department. You will perform basic nursing tasks under the direct supervision of an RN and support patients with ADLs and safe transfers.

Applicants should be prepared to rotate shifts as needed (PRN). You will monitor patients, promptly report any changes, and help keep patient rooms clean and safe to ensure a comfortable care environment.

Qualifications

• Basic nursing tasks and ADLs support.
• BLS Provider preferred.
• Able to document and report changes to RN.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Direct Patient Care: Perform basic nursing tasks and assist with physician-ordered procedures under the direct supervision of an RN.

• Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with personal care, hygiene, daily living routines, and safe transfers or transport.

• Specialized Patient Care: Adapt care strategies to meet the specific age and population needs of assigned patients in a timely manner.

• Condition Reporting: Monitor and promptly report any physical, mental, or emotional changes in a patient's condition to the nursing team.

• Environment Management: Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient rooms to support a comfortable care environment.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
