Job summary

Catholic Charities Community Services in Phoenix is seeking a Resident Services Specialist II (PT) to serve as a resident advocate, linking housing residents to supportive services and coordinating volunteers and community partners to enhance engagement within CCCS affordable housing communities.

The role involves working across staff, donors and partners to improve lives, hosting engagement events, developing surveys, building resident councils, and providing referrals to entitlement programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 5 years’ equivalent work experience with vulnerable populations.
• Experience with culturally diverse populations including children, families, seniors, veterans and people with a disability; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or human services with at least one year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hosts engagement events to meet and welcome residents and provide information about resident services.
• Develops questionnaires and surveys to learn unmet needs and program interests.
• Co-develops Resident Councils and provides oversight while encouraging and inviting all residents; organizes activities like support groups and workshops.
• Coordinates collaborative efforts with community groups and volunteers to provide onsite social and support activities.
