Job summary

Covenant House New York is seeking a Rights of Passage Resident Advisor to support up to 20 youth aged 16-21 in a Bronx ROP site. The RA collaborates with case managers and specialist staff to promote housing stability, trauma-informed care, and personal goals.

You will help with daily living, meals for youth, and transportation as needed, while documenting progress in the ETO system and upholding CHNY's mission and child protection policies. Flexible schedule required.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with at-risk youth is strongly preferred.
• Driver’s license preferred; comfortable driving a 7-passenger van.

Responsibilities

• Directly engages, supervises, and supports youth at the ROP site.
• Ensures site cleanliness and safety; orients youth to site expectations.
• Prepares youth for the day; helps with meals and post-meal cleanup.
• Maintains records in the ETO system and coordinates with case managers.
