Job summary

Golden Sonora Care Center in Sonora, CA is seeking a personable Admissions Coordinator for a full-time, on-site position. The role includes guiding prospective residents from inquiry to admission, coordinating with nursing, social services, and the business office, and handling insurance verification and pre-authorization processes.

The successful candidate will excel in communication, organization, and customer service, with experience in healthcare admissions and EHR systems preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-authorization processes.
• Familiarity with skilled nursing facility admissions and regulations is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Previous admissions, healthcare administration, customer service, or skilled nursing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the admissions process from initial inquiry through resident admission.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective residents, families, hospitals, and referral partners.
• Respond to inquiries, manage referrals, and follow up with prospective residents.
• Conduct facility tours and share information about our services, care offerings, and community.
• Coordinate with nursing, social services, business office, and other departments to ensure a seamless admissions process.
• Assist with insurance verification, authorization requirements, and admission documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure admissions paperwork is completed in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and community referral sources while delivering exceptional customer service.
