The Alden Network is seeking an Activity Aide to support daily activity calendars and deliver a person-centered activity program for residents in Illinois. The role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to engage residents with varying needs and backgrounds.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, coordinating outings, and ensuring compliance with state and federal activity regulations. A high school diploma and a valid IL driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of healthcare-related experience or volunteering with disabled population.
• Knowledge of federal/state activity regulations or ability to understand them.
• Read and write English.
• Valid IL driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activity calendar and follow the Activity Director's guidance.
• Lead a therapeutic, person-centered activity program to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Follow all activity policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Develop knowledge of residents' backgrounds to create appropriate activity plans.
• Maintain daily activity calendars, boards, and documentation.
• Coordinate resident outings and community involvement.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure continuity of care and schedule adherence.
