Job summary

Presidential Post Acute seeks an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a creative and engaging activities program for residents. You will help plan, implement and adapt activities to meet residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial needs in line with current standards and guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical procedures and manuals.
• Strong communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct individual, small and large group activities.
• Assist in providing effective communication between employees, residents, families, and external agencies.
• Assist in developing monthly activity calendar and track attendance.
• Support discharge planning and activity care plans for residents.
• Arrange transportation for residents for outings, appointments, or discharge.
• Keep the Activity Department clean, organized and secure.
