Job summary

Waldron-Rehabilitation-and-Healthcare-Center in Waldron, IN seeks an Activity Assistant/Aide to support recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs in accordance with resident care plans.

You will help plan and evaluate activities, coordinate with other departments, prepare rooms, document progress, and assist residents with crafts and daily tasks while maintaining resident dignity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department preferred.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, and willingness to engage residents at various maturity levels.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement & evaluate activity programs and quality assurance.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and involvement to evaluate progress with accurate notes.
• Maintain informative and descriptive charted activity progress notes showing resident response to services.
