Job summary

Capitol River Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking an Activity/Recreation Assistant to support the Activity/Recreation Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing activity programs tailored to the needs and interests of the patient population.

The role involves assisting in developing, delivering, and promoting engagement in group and individual activities, including arts/crafts, community outings, and educational events, while maintaining safety precautions for each patient.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with coursework in recreation is desirable.
• Experience in leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, etc. is desired.
• State approved activity-training course is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and delivering activity/recreational programs to engage patients and enhance functioning.
• Maintains precautions/limitations list on each patient.
• Encourages participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, outings, religious and educational activities.
• Performs miscellaneous assignments as required.
