Job summary

SHC in Peoria, Illinois is seeking an Activity Director to supervise, plan, and implement a full activities program tailored to residents' needs, including recreational, religious, intellectual, and service activities.

You will lead a team, coordinate with nursing staff to develop care goals, ensure safety during outings, maintain records, and participate in ongoing training and CEUs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related work or volunteer experience.
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Must pass Illinois Activity Professionals Certification process.
• Basic computer skills including Point Click Care and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan, schedule and carry out activities program.
• Interact with services to assess resident needs and set goals.
• Escort residents on activities and manage safety.
• Observe resident behavior and inform nursing staff of changes.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and attendance records.
• Attend in-service training and CEUs annually.
• Supervise Activity Assistants and volunteers.
