Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in the United States seeks an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of our patients and residents by planning and implementing engaging activities that meet physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs. You will help design monthly recreation therapy services and support care planning with the team.

Ideal candidates communicate effectively, stay organized, and document participation while interacting professionally with patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Effective communicator with excellent verbal/written skills.
• Well-developed organizational abilities and record keeping skills.
• Able to positively engage with personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities for patients/residents.
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation levels at programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
