Job summary

Ohio Living Breckenridge Village is seeking an Activities Assistant to support a diverse program of activities that promote the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of residents. You will help plan, lead, and participate in hobbies, crafts, and social events, while building trusting relationships with residents and families.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in activities within long-term care or healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year activities experience preferred.
• Two years in long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead activities that meet residents' interests and well-being.
• Encourage participation in hobbies and crafts; assist bed-bound residents.
• Coordinate parties, movies, and games; develop evening activity schedule.
• Maintain activity logs; communicate supply needs.
• Develop and oversee plans of care and document progress.
• Ensure confidentiality and residents' rights.
