Job summary

Ohio Living is hiring an Activities Assistant to support residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well‑being through engaging programs. You will help plan, lead, and participate in activities aligned with care plans and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, assisting with crafts, reading to residents, and ensuring safety. Strong English reading/writing skills and prior long-term care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year activities experience preferred.
• Two years experience in a long-term care, hospital, or other related healthcare setting preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day activity functions to support residents’ interests and well‑being.
• Encourages and assists residents to participate in hobbies and crafts.
• Assists bed-bound residents by visiting, writing/reading letters, providing materials for hobbies, etc.
